Jonesboro native, Steven Blanchard, MD, has joined NEA Baptist Clinic as a family practice physician at the Windover Family Medicine and Urgent Care location.

Dr. Blanchard, who has been board certified in family medicine since 1985, received a bachelor of science in zoology from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. He went on to receive a doctor of medicine from University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock, AR.

A Greene  County woman is one of six incoming Arkansas State University students to receive a choral music grant.

L. Breanne Drew of Paragould is a graduate of Greene County Tech who plans to major in physical occupational therapy.  Her parents are Annette Drew and Robert Drew.

Although she’s not a music major, she was selected by audition to receive $1,600 to sing in two ASU choirs during the 2013-14 year.

The choral grant is renewable for up to three additional years if academic and performance requirements are met.
