CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR
(KAIT) – The man who led police on a 2 day manhunt should return to Region
8 the week of February 18th-24th.

Police say Eric Kent
was captured in Cape Girardeau Wednesday night after leaving his father's home
in Cape Girardeau.

Craighead County
Investigator Justin Rolland tells Region 8 News that Eric Kent was arrested
along with Kent's father and a female passenger in Cape Girardeau.

We're told there was a chase with police before they
were arrested.

Investigator Rolland
says they've begun the extradition process and hope to have Kent back in Region
8 next week.

The Craighead County Sheriff's Office, Greene County
Sheriff's Department and Arkansas State Police searched for Eric Kent who
was wanted in a domestic incident Wednesday morning out of Greene County.

On day 1 of the search, a K9 unit was used to track
the suspect and located a chrome plated pistol in a wooded area off Highway 358
on the Craighead and Greene County line.

Arkansas State Police also searched by helicopter
Wednesday night.

Craighead County Sheriff's deputies were the north Jonesboro area Thursday
afternoon, but didn't want to give exact locations for fear that Kent could be
following their movements online.

Region 8 News has obtained the incident report from
police involving Kent and the suspected domestic assault of a woman.
According to Jonesboro police, the victim of the domestic incident was
seen walking into the garage of a Jonesboro home on Wednesday morning.

The witness told police the victim was "covered
in blood" and that both of her eyes were blackened.  Police arrived
at the scene and discovered the victim, who had since left the garage.

The victim told police that around 11 p.m. Tuesday she
was stopped by her boyfriend Eric Kent on a county road around Brookland.
She told police Kent hit her and forced her into his 1990 tan Jeep Cherokee.
According to the woman's statement, Kent was upset that she was at her ex's
home earlier in the day.

The victim claims Kent repeatedly hit her while
driving.  Sometime later Kent pulled into a gas station on Stadium
Boulevard where the woman told police she managed to escape.

Region 8 News will
continue to track this story and bring you any new details as soon as they
become available.
