Just one day after announcing they would hold a concealed carry class at Black River Technical College, Paragould police say they are no longer accepting students.
According to a news release from the police department, the March 23 class is full.
Since the class filled so rapidly, the department and BRTC have scheduled another class on Saturday, April 20.
The class, which will be taught by Chief Todd Stovall, Captain Faulkner and Captain Trout, will be held at 8 a.m., weather permitting. Students will spend approximately 4 hours in the classroom and 2 hours on the range. There will be a break for lunch.
The cost of the class is $69.95 and payment must be received by Friday, April 19. To register, contact Susan Mason at BRTC by calling (870) 239-0969, extension 103 or click here.
The department is also planning a basic firearms class in the near future. It will be designed for the novice shooter and is not part of the concealed carry class.
