Paragould man charged with possessing child porn

A Paragould man is behind bars, accused of possessing child pornography.

Jeffery Webb, 37, is charged with 20 counts of “distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, a Class C felony,” according to the Arkansas Attorney General’s office.

On Wednesday, agents from the AG’s Cyber Crimes Unit arrested Webb after executing a search warrant at his home in the 1100-block of Royal Street.  According to Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, Webb admitted to investigators that he was “in possession of multiple images of child pornography on a laptop computer.”

The computer was seized and will be analyzed at the Cyber Crime Unit’s Forensic Lab in Little Rock.

Webb is being held in the Greene County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bond.

The Paragould Police Department assisted in the investigation and arrest.
