Self-professed 'trained killer' arrested on assault charge | Crime
A Paragould man is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond after police say he pulled a knife on a hospital worker.
Adam Conrad, 27, is charged with aggravated assault, a Class D felony.
According to court records, Conrad was being treated at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center’s emergency room when he became “uncooperative” because “things weren’t going his way.”
Conrad reportedly told the nurse who was treating him that he was “in trouble” and that he was a “trained killer.”
Conrad then reached in the back of his gown and pulled out a knife that was hidden in his “rectal area,” according to the affidavit.
At least three people reportedly told police they saw Conrad in possession of the knife.
While waiting for police to arrive at the scene, Conrad reportedly threw the knife onto the floor.
According to the court records, Conrad’s bond is conditional upon a mental health evaluation.
