ABC Board a-okay with nail salon serving wine | Business
Customers of a Paragould nail salon will be able to enjoy a glass or two of chardonnay while they get their mani-pedis.
During its September monthly meeting, held last Wednesday in Little Rock, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board granted a new on-premises wine permit to Escape Nails Spa & Salon, 414 Hwy. 49 North.
The board received no complaints from public officials regarding the permit. However, the board said the permit is “conditional upon receipt of health department approval.”
In other business, the board granted a new private club license to Bridget’s Restaurant and Sports Bar in Paragould.
The board also approved a restaurant beer and wine (on premises only) license to the business, which is located at 101 East Kingshighway.
Elsewhere, the board approved a new beer off-premises permit for Dollar General Store #3846, located at 67 Hwy. 62/412 in Ash Flat, after receiving no objections.
Public officials of Keiser had no objections to a new beer off-premises permit for The Corner Store, located at 102 Hwy. 181 South in Keiser. Despite receiving one letter of opposition from area residents, the board granted the permit.
The board also granted a new beer off-premises permit to Dollar General #4309, 333 North Main St. in Cave City, after receiving no objections.
During the week ending Friday, Sept. 20, Lake Street Liquor, 2210 West Kingshighway in Paragould, applied for a sampling-beer, wine and spirits permit.
Newport Mart, 1020 Hwy. 367 North in Jackson County, applied for a retail beer off-premises permit and a retail small farm winery permit.
